Construction on Oklahoma City’s new interactive aquarium is moving quickly, including some exciting new exhibits being built! If you’re looking for fun things to do in Oklahoma City this Summer, Blue Zoo, an interactive aquarium, is sure to please your family. With stingrays that you can touch and feed, sharks, an octopus, clownfish, seahorses and jellyfish, Blue Zoo is a crowd pleaser. Owner Wes Haws, shares “I want to give kids as much exposure to marine life as possible. It changed my life and I hope it does the same for kids in our area.” Additionally, Wes stated that he’s adding water play areas and a large play ship.
In addition to marine life, Blue Zoo will have interactive areas for birds, as well as reptiles. The Bird Exhibit allows guests to enter into the bird environment and touch and feed them. Similarly, the Reptile Center provides guests with the opportunity to touch and feed a variety of reptiles.
Recently, the Shark Tank and the Stingray Touch Pool were built and are now installed in Blue Zoo! Wes shares that construction is moving quickly and he’s looking forward to opening mid-Summer.
